Lisa grew up in the Isle of Man. She feels strongly connected to the sea and landscape and is drawn to these subjects in her work. She is repeatedly inspired by the dramatic colour changes throughout the days and the seasons on the Island.

She works using: oil paint, charcoal, wood, print, clay, and glass. Her process often begins with a walk by the sea, a river or in the woods. Next there will be cup of tea and then soon pencil and paper. Some pots begin as a drawing, some prints can begin as a painting.

After living in Bristol for 20 years, Lisa began to feel land locked and in need of the sea. She started to realise the effect the sea had on her, the hold it had, and knew it would always be this way. It is in her body.
